![]() From the teen multimedia room, to the expanded fitness areas and suspended track overlooking the gymnasium and pool, this recreation center is sure to impress! Let's take a closer look at the indoor swimming pool and its many features. This innovative recreation center is like nothing you've seen before! We've worked with the community to design all aspects of this center. Williams Farm Recreation Center will officially open its doors Friday, October 26 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 pm. Williams Farm Ribbon Cutting: Friday, October 26 | 4 pm | 5252 Learning Circle We offer lessons for 4 and 5 year olds called Preschool Paddlers. In this class, you can expect: * Approximately 8 children per certified instructor * An instructor in the water, physically showing your child what to do * 1 or 2 new skills per lesson At this point, it's advantageous for parents to watch from the viewing area rather than participate in the water with the child. Once a child reaches age 4 or 5, they are ready to engage in more progressive swimming skills. * Approximately 10 infants per certified instructor * 30-minute classes to avoid infants and young children getting chilled * An instructor who focuses on fun and safety (Remember we are not teaching infants to swim, but to get comfortable in the water.) Here's what you can expect in this class: Lessons are offered throughout the year at all of the recreation centers. Parents learn how to provide support and comfort as children learn water safety, water adjustment and swimming skills. ![]() This is a class for parents and their children ranging in age from 1 to 3 years. To assist with this, we offer a class called Tiny Bobbers. Parent and child swimming lessons are a great bonding experience and they can help your child feel more comfortable in water as they grow.
